چکیده

The Amphoteric Fatliquor (AF) was prepared by rapeseed oil, 1, 2-ethylenediamine and acrylic acid. An amphoteric fatliquor (SAF) modified with silicon was synthesized by using AF and polyether silicon with stirring and ultrasonic treatment. AF and SAF were measured by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetry (TGA), emulsifying capacity, emulsification stability and emulsifying surface tension respectively. The analysis of FT-IR and TG indicated that hydroxy of polyether silicon was polycondensation with carboxylic hyd roxy of AF. The results indicated that the performance of AF could be improved by polyether silicon. The emulsifying surface tension of SAF decreased by 17.0 N/m, compared to 18.2 N/m ofAF. SAF was applied in leather fatliquoring process, and was compared with product XQ-F3. The application results indicated that emulsification capacity of SAF was the same as XQ-F3 , and the flexibi lity of SAF was higher than that of XQ-F3 . The analysis of fatliquor waste liquid indicated that the absorbing capacity of SAF on leather was better than that of AF.

Potential of OM of Iranian peat and swamp and characterization of physico-chemical properties of organic soils

The objective of this work was to investigate the potential of three different kinds of Iranian peat and swamp soils as sources of organic matter (OM) in the Golestan Province, Northern Iran. Comparison of the peats was done in terms of the degree of humification on the von Post scale. Moreover, the X-ray fluorescence, X-Ray Diffractometry, and Fourier transform infra-red (FT-IR) techniques wer...

Synthesis and Characterization of Indoline-based organic sensitizers for photoelectrochemical cells

In this paper we designed and prepared three free-metal organic days Dye 1, Dye 2 and Dye 3 based on indoline with n-phenly substituents iminodibenzyl as the electron donor group. We used cyanoacrylic acid substituent as the electron acceptor anchoring group in organic dyes. The proposed dyes were prepared from iminodibenzyl as the starting material by standard reactions and characterized by di...

Controlling the Aggregation of Particles to Tune Materials Properties

Colloids and polymeric systems constitute building blocks of choice for designing and controlling material properties. One major parameter is therefore the aggregation state of the polymer/particles complexes and its control to achieve desired properties. In this presentation, two examples will be given to illustrate this principle. The first example relates to paper surface hydrophobation, oft...

Novel Aza-Substituted Benzothiazol and 1,2,4-Triazol Cyanine Dyes: Synthesis, Characterization and Properties

Series of novel dichromophoric cyanine dyes based on 2-aminobenzothiazoles and 3-amino-1,2,4 -triazole have been synthesized in high yields. All the dyes have been classified as disperse dyes. Besides their electronic spectroscopic properties, high dye-uptakes on polyester, excellent fastness properties, highly extinction coefficients, and broad solvatochromic effects have been observed in thes...

Characterization of polymer materials based on structure analyses of vicinal water

In this paper, we review the vibrational spectroscopic analyses of the structure and hydrogen bonding of water in the vicinity of various polymers based on research performed by our group. Aqueous solutions of water-soluble polymers have been examined using the contours of O–H stretching in polarized Raman spectra. For water sorbed into polymer thin films, infrared spectroscopy was used and the...
